| This Banshee is the latest addition to the Aircraft exhibit at the Shearwater Aviation Museum.The Aircraft was meticulously restored from a virtual wreck, to its present inspiring form by Volunteers with the assistance of 12 Wing, CFB Shearwater. The Banshee was flown in Canadian service from the deck of H.M.C.S. Bonaventure, and Shearwater from 1955 until 1962, it was the last carrier borne Fighter to operate in Canadian service. SAM is a must see for naval, and aviation afficionados. |
